Well they said it was precautional, so probably it is not like that Nikita can't move or so, the problem is that he suffers from that in a long term and this is the second time in the season when they withdrew from the competition after the SP.

I guess, but it seems to be a long standing injury...he and Vika had to withdraw earlier in the season because of it.

Also there's been jokes about it, but there are suggestions that Nikita's loose shirts are because he needs a back brace.
