2022 Olympics Team Event Day1: Rhythm Dance

I hope this isn't too controversial, but I wish that Gadbois's Asian teams skated less like the North American teams. If I want Canada, I can drive a day or two north and see the culture. But in an international sport, I would love to understand more about Japanese and Chinese culture by watching their skaters.
I guess it's hard because as I always remember from reading the book The Second Mark Xue and Hongbo never got respect until they skated in
a Western manner with western music.

Hey I just realised a Janet Jackson Program followed by an MJ one.

Until NBC made a big deal about Madison and Zach having dated in the past I thought he was gay?

That's not about 'being better' that's about not being a jerk - the Americans were skating forward towards them, H/D should have moved. Considering Nikita's back, jerking, unexpected moves could tweak it - no issue from me with him giving H/D a dirty look.
Yes, if it had been the other way around Nikita would have been crucified.

On the plus side at least no-one pretends they don't hate his guts, that's refreshing.

On topic! This is a great program for Maddi and Zach!

I so wish C/B skated today. I don't even like Billie Eilish, but I just love their program and want to see them perform it as many times as possible.

Nothing wrong with some Janet Jackson though.

i think the reason they go there is to improve technically, which then allows them to skate at a higher level...give them time to go back and create their own schools in asia... then, technique can be be applied to a different style.. you cannot ask Gadbois to teach a culture they have no idea about...
True. I do hope that one day we will achieve a more culturally diverse ice dance, but you are right that it cannot be immediate.
