2023 Four Continents Rhythm Dance

I approve the changes the ISU has made and not sure why countries would be over/underscored with a Euro tech panel.

Oops well I do see one USA and one CAN judge there. I guess others weren’t available?

The recommendation (rather than rule) not to have officials from Feds with top 5 contenders only referred to Technical Controller, Technical Specialists and Referee. Here they are Britain (Referee), France (TC), Poland (even if he lives and coaches in the USA; TS1 ) and Australia (TS2)

Draw for judges hasn't changed. For 4 Continents it is:
ISU members who competed in the discipline at previous year's 4 Continents have first priority.
If they are less than 10 (this is a new change. From this season 4CCs have a pool of 10 judges. 8 doing both segments and 2 doing only one), the draw is open to other 4 Continents members
If they haven't reached 10, the draw is open to Euro members who entered the 4 Continents draw.

Edit:
so here
USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand got judges because they had competitors in 2022 edition.
5 more judges were needed....other ISU 4 Continents members with Ice Dance ISU judges are China , South Korea and Kazakhstan.
China got a judge. Korea run out of judges (their 2 ID judges are officiating in Women and Pairs this week). Kazakhstan didn't enter the draw (not sure why. Same for their Single judge. I thought they envisaged issues with VISAs but both their ISU judges were at Lake Placid WInter Games last month. Maybe their Feds simply forgot the deadline to enter the draw...).
So 6 judging spot filled...4 more needed
the rest were filled with a draw among available European Feds.

Thank you. Too many moving pieces. Tech panel isn’t the same as judges. And I know this!

Ok, @elektra blue you convinced me to stay up for this, it's your fault if I'll be a hung-over, grumpy hag tomorrow.

Yes FB/S are better but after watching pairs it really shows that it is more in the hands of the Tech Panel and Judges then it is in how the skaters skate. I am now thinking that the USA teams will all be getting all Level 4s with new SBs while the CAN teams get lower levels then have have been all season and no new SBs.
No one got all level 4s in the SP. For instance, no team got a level 4 on their twist Certainly, the American teams didn't get all level 4s.. Let's not spread disinformation please 😂😂 Also, two Canadian teams got not just SB but PB. I think you need a fact checker for your post. Skating Scores is a great fact checker.
