I'm remembering the whole 1994 Tonya skate lace debacle.

She had to get on the ice 2 minutes after she was called. When she left to fix the issue, I believe I remember Scott Hamilton saying that Josée Chouinard would have the option to go on early, or wait for her appointed time.

Josée opted to go on early, and didn't skate well. I remember Scott being angry about that.
