Besides Suni, do we know of any other collegiate gymnasts returning to elite this season? Are Chiles and Carey continuing? Are McCallum and Eaker collegiate only now?
I hope Konnor McClain is doing ok, it's so sad how much she's gone through the last few years. i hope she can make a strong comeback and stay healthy.
I also wonder if we will ever see Simone again. I know she is engaged and seems very happy with her life, but she has posted next to nothing gymnastics related in a really long time. i'll be really sad if we don't see her again, but she has nothing left to prove.

I heard Trinity is or was thinking of coming back. Now Grace, I was watching the Super 16 series of Big 10 meets from Las Vegas (which I think is a great idea) and the announcers specifically said Grace (which my phone will never cease trying to correct to Gracie, so if I screw it up please forgive me) had taken the summer off from elite training. That phrasing would lead me to believe that she was training for elites, took a break, and is now training for elite again. But the announcers did not definitively state that.
I’d like to see Morgi come back, I feel she’s been screwed over.
As for Simone, you just never know with her.

i've only seen Grace post about collegiate, nothing elite. guess we will find out. I don't think Kara will come back. I'm also happy to see Morgan back after her struggles. i don't think she's really been screwed over as she had a lot of issues the last few years and it kept her off the olympic team (if i'm remembering correctly). i hope she does what makes her happy in the end.

Yes. Gabby Douglas is currently training at WOGA.

wow, this is amazing. is there any confirmation she is training for competitions, or could it be for a show, commercial or adult gymnastics like Chellsie Memmel?
if she's really coming back for elite that's really inspirational, she hasn't competed in 7 years. i do wonder if she's kept up with some gymnastics over the years as that is a huge huge gap.

I can't imagine if she weren't serious about coming back she'd bother with WOGA? How much training does it take for a show or commercial? Is she commercially desirable at this point?

sounds like she's not entirely ruling it out, however she'd need to already be in the gym at this point. i have no idea if she's been doing any level of training the last couple years but based on how much she travels and all the things she does with her fiance, i assume not. she's getting married soon too.

if she's been completely out of the gym, probably a decent amount. she's still an olympic champion, and the first black AA champion at that, so very desirable.

NCAA gym fans - any idea why Riley McCusker is not in the FL bars or beam lineups so far this year? Is she injured, or are they just that deep?

She had to WD from worlds selection due to an injury but that’s been a while. Balancebeamsituation.com might know.

FWIW the Dream Team (John Roethlisberger (my apologies if I spelled your name wrong, John) and Alicia Sacrimone) were calling a meet and John came out and asked Alicia if Simone were coming back. Alicia hemmed and hawed and said she couldn’t say anything, then said something like “I hear she is back in the gym. Make of that what you will.” This was this last weekend or maybe the one before, I’ve not been watching gymnastics from the hospital and the meets pile up fast
It also made me really sad watching this collegiate gymnastics meet, 16,000 people in the stands screaming for a “10”, music, fireworks, everything. And thinking our skaters will never experience anything like this. Probably not even at Worlds.

I wonder why she switched to WOGA? I don't remember who she was training with leading up to 2016.
