SpainBTW : I am watching you judge number 3 for giving LALA low PCS in the 7s. In what world???
I would have agreed up to this season. Their RD is pure Zachary emotions.I like LaJoie and Lagha and really admire their technical skills. Zachary just seems so distant/removed, like he's skating on his own. Marjorie makes efforts to emote and connect but it's hard when your partner is not seeing you. My take.
Did you watch their RD? Even in the FD I feel that their connection has improved a lot. I think Zach and Marjo have evolved a lot since their junior years in that department. I no longer feel that it is a problem for them. Obviously, my takeI like LaJoie and Lagha and really admire their technical skills. Interesting perspective. I still see his emotions as self-expressive but not connecting with his partner or the audience. Kind of like the difference between sympathy and empathy. But if others are seeing progress then I should be watching for that growth.Did you watch their RD? Even in the FD I feel that their connection has improved a lot. they placed ahead in the FD but not overall.the koreans were hard done by imo. no way were they worse than that dubious swan lake with those labored and clumsy lifts![]()

i agreewasn't ahead enough then
Such interesting comments! Taschlers FD might not come across as effectively on video, but live and close up, it’s amazing. You see them as children playing, as angsty teens, and as the competitors they are today—probably just the way their father would remember them. It’s a beautiful piece.A softer look for Natalie & Phillip. I am not getting the story and I really would like to understand it. The gentle power and flow is wonderful, but the music doesn't really give me anything.
I did not know this. Without knowing the back story it was all a jumble. Now I will go back and rewatch for sure. Thanks for explaining.Such interesting comments! Fans of L/B will enjoy knowing that at the conclusion of their dance, Kevin Aymoz was jumping up and down in section 100 madly waving the French flagas I watched it I kept thinking "This is classic ice dancing".
I can understand how emotional a skate this must be. I skated Adult Nationals just after my father died.Natalia looked to be tearing up.
I also loved Green & Parsons’ FD, absolutely beautiful, sophisticated piece, but I fear it might be a bit subtle for some viewers!
As long as I get Deanna..Done. You have Kévin, I keep Maxime.
They have always posed a lot. That snake dance was tons of standing and posing.Watchng LaLa and CB back to back. Let's give LaLa their dues : their edges and gliding are superior. CB have a great program here with a ton of twisting and lifting movements intertwined in the choreo. I really like it... But they pose a lot. They don't skate through the whole 4 minutes of the FD. What about ice coverage??? Isn't that a huge factor in ice dance? Judges loved them when we see the GOE, even for the straight line lift that was wobbly and received perhaps the highest GOE of all straight line lifts... with 1.58. So yeah... if I were very positive with CB's RD, and if I do love this FD, I wished they skated more and I wished the other teams who do skate and make this more about sport than acting were rewarded.
