Mark has a point about older judges and modern music, which is a problem when the athletes aren't (as I said) musicians but are young kids whose tastes are very different and who have teams that still go for 'suitable' music, often a bad version of it.

But the covers are also subject to copyright - two lots actually, from the composer and the performer (even if we think the latter deserves something other than money for inflicting themselves on us)
