Mai : i don't know. Not sure I am more disappointed with this awful arrangement of Aranjuez or by her jumps that have seemed to fade away... She's been around for a long time... and has had a lot of health issue. Is that her last year ?

Mai is such a great performer, and the effortlessness of her skating skills are a clear step up from the previous group. But tonight, she just didn't seem to have that same pop off the ice, and like Mark said, she was struggling a bit with speed, something that was never her strong suit and is a bit glaring in such a fast-paced program. The tech caller here hasn't been quite as carrot-happy as at NHK, which will help her immensely, but she made too many mistakes in a strong event .

Mihara Mai is one of the few Japanese women that I have on my 'liked' list, but I just do not feel this program... mixed skate
