I've definitely become a fan of this program, I think it works so well with Rinka's quiet elegance. Her skating skills aren't quite as strong as her compatriots going into the jumps - there is a lot of just basic stroking into her jump elements - but then the step sequence is really fantastically done and I love that entrance into the combo spin. Those few small jump errors will hurt her based on how strong this field and this SP is so far, but she also didn't knock herself totally out of competition with this program.

I would love to know how Amber came to choose this music. (It's a Janet Jackson deep cut and you would have to be a big fan to even know it. There are many better Janet songs.) Having said that, she seems to feel it so good for her. The axel and the loop were gorgeous. Hope the mistake forces her to fight for every jump in the free.

Her SP choreographer Kaitlyn Weaver convinced her to skate to it, though Amber had doubts she could pull it off. I think it works!
