The fall is a real shame because that StSq is so beautiful. Just a really lovely skate for Mone minus the one silly fall, lol.
While I'm sad about Chaeyeon not making it to the GPF, seeing Amber and (likely) Mone go is just wonderful <3

Oh my goodness, that was perfect until the step sequence. It looked like she could have come really close to Amber's TES before that unexpected fall, but with the negative GOE and the one point deduction ... She has such beautiful carriage and arms, and is so sensitive to the music. The two backloaded lutz combinations were so good as well - it's such a risk, but it did pay off. Season's best and second place overall for her.

I can’t remember the last time a US woman won two Grand Prix events in one circuit season. I think we would have to go back to the days of Michelle Kwan.

I think the last since Amber was Ashley Wagner in 2012-2013 when she won Skate America and Trophée Eric Bompard.

That was the best ladies GP of the entire circuit. Better than last year’s too. Glenn was incredibly nervous (she was shaking at the start) so I didn’t know what to expect and she ended up having the skate of her life. Chiba’s going to be thinking about that silly fall later on. I think she would have won otherwise. She has improved on her nerves also. She used to look scared when she took to the ice and I didn’t see that today. GPF is going to be great!

Amber was selected to compete at Golden Spin of Zagreb before qualifying to the Grand Prix Final and Isabeau Levito is listed as her substitute. A big question mark if Isabeau will be ready?

That was heartbreaking to watch.



Yes, that was a massive nasty looking bruise.

When they showed the replays, it wasn't there at the start of the programme. I am nearly sure that she got it the time she fell next to the boards, and her left leg came down hard onto her right leg.

Obviously, she is bitterly upset sitting there afterwards.

She goes into 6th and last in the FS, and 5th overall.

Minchae, you are a very talented skater. It didn't go your way today. But I'm sure it will the next time.
