2024-25 Senior Grand Prix Final Rhythm Dance

I feel like Gilles and Poirier’s RD was trying to push everything to the edge and they really were trying to cover all of the ice, but got too close to the boards resulting in Paul’s fall. Chock and Bate’s dance looks conservative by comparison, but they were clean and got the job done.
Yeah I’m so sad that we don’t get to see what their score could have been without the fall…

2038 if they work with Plushenko's surgical team. They still need to do Cher, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, Kylie Minogue, Pet Shop Boys, Adam Lambert, Janelle Monae, Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X, RuPaul, Bronski Beat, Diana Ross, and Ariana Grande free dances.
it's nice to see someone of your age with such a knowledge of modern pop music. kudos to you!

I know this is over the top and over-dramatising it, but I truly feel like going back to hotel and just cry. Never, ever get invested, I just need a reminder.

This is excellent advice for every skating fan.

It's fine to have favorites. I have skaters that I follow more closely than others, too. But a little moderation is a fine thing.

I never forget that I don't know them, I'll never know them, and other than a general "I love my fans" sort of way, they don't care about me in the slightest.

I really feel for Piper and Paul - they are my favourite team - but I don't mind Fear and Gibson getting onto the podium if they skate well.
I have selfish reasons for this - ice skating in the UK currently gets barely any media coverage and very little financial support.

When Torvill and Dean were winning medals, media interest/coverage increased, and the sport grew.

Lilah and Lewis's successes so far have rarely featured in the UK media, but I've noticed that audience numbers at British Nationals have been growing (with many people coming specially to see them).

If Lilah and Lewis start to look like Olympic medallists, I'm hoping that the media will take more interest, and that the sport will grow and be better funded - this can only be a good thing for the other British elite skaters, and audiences.
