Im still gutted for Mura to be honest. I kind of understand the internationals who complain about quads. Its hard to really accept that a girl with that many mistakes beat an ultra clean skate cause of one UR'd salchow. The BV can stay but they need to make the falls more costly.

It wasn't just one underrotaded 4S, Mura did poorly in SP and basically had a bad season.

Jealous of what? She's a 3-times Rusnats champion, worlds and olympic champion. Won against teammates as strong as Adeliya, if not stronger.

Same reason they didn't like Valieva. Sometimes it's not enough winning everything. She's still upset she wasn't gifted a team spot ahead of Valieva at the Olympics.

Poorly is a bit too strong, but yes, the pop in the Short is what cost Mura the bronze. The bad season itself didn't cost her in this exact moment, it's not like her PCS really went down, she got the second-highest PCS of her career here in the Free.

Yesterday I was just astounded at the amount of hate directed at the Russian skaters. (under the thread about them returning). So much hate I would love to see more than one going to the Olympics and would love to see them take all the medals. lol. And these are the same people who love to scold others about 'hate'.

I am happy with the podium.

But I would have Gushchina 4th.
Akateva and Muravieva had great free skates, but they were overscored in the short with bad combos and only doubles and still way got over 70 points. That was mindboggling to me.

And I thought Gushchina was clearly better than Frolova and Yametova too.

Ah well, it was a great competition. RusNats always deliver.

She's not. She's third in the Free but fourth overall by 0.02. Alina is 5th in the Free but stayed on the podium overall.

For me it looked like judges were helping her with PCS all season long, as she had massive problems in GP. And even today they once again helped her massively, imho she didn't deserve the PCS she got today. She's still a lovely skater, awesome sliding and speed, but all season long she was unable to present neither black nor white swan. It was just some lovely skating with random hand flaps all season long. So, for me Mura just didn't deserve to be in top-3 this season.

Yes it used to bother me a lot TBH but now I really dont care. I am basically sure those people are genuinely mentally ill and struggling. The amount of hate in their heart and constantly feigning "love" and "inclusivity" much be heart wrenching. Not even being sarcastic I actually feel bad. Usually if you click on their profile you can see in their history they post a lot of personal problems and talk about how hard their life and struggling with purpose, etc... I stopped getting upset after seeing those things. Of course it must be hard seeing accomplished girls especially when they are happy and unbothered by inconveniences like not skating internationally or being unrecognized. Theres a hope the girls are bitter about it so there is some comfort for the redditor, but it seems the girls are perma smiling and enjoying just skating for the sake of it. But I still would never want to be around someone like that. The internet is a real weird echo chamber sometimes.

Sadkova is younger than Petrosian and Gorbacheva but those two are tiny next to her.
