Semenenko literally added 4F this season and landed ALL of them. Only one got q call, the rest were clean.
Mark landed 5 quads and 3A+3A in a comp. One bad event doesn't mean much.

Gaaah!!! Typing error. I accidentally pressed the button beside the one I wanted.
I actually did the same in a Fan Fest last week, except that time it was a position lower than they actually were.

Very sad for Mark, it must be a huge disappointment for him after a strong SP and quite a lead. I wasn't expecting him to bomb because he is normally good at holding it up under pressure, alas not this time 
Maybe he was thinking of that one and only Olympic spot and that didn't help, who knows. Hope at least it's nothing health related and that he can bounce back strong

Just because they added more quads.
I mean Zhenya was literally trying to land 5-6 quads. Of course it affects consistency.

His trainings weren't strong. And IIRC he has an illness or something. well today he did only 4, menaing he and his coach were worried and very cautious.

Yes and last season he won with three ones.
Really an unlucky boy. Each time gap is tight.
2023: Tied with Semenenko, win given to Semenenko by rules. Petya should have won
2024: 3rd, less 2 points from the gold medalist. Again, he should have won
2024: 4th, 3pts behind the bronze medalist. He should have won that medal

Lol Zhenya says he has changed his content mid-competition. It was supposed to be two 4Ts not 4Ss.
