"Looking at photos of handsome men improves one's mood" is definitely a scientific claim I can get behind!

I don't see a source for this claim other than the TV show it was reported on, but does that even matter if the findings are this good?

I want to believe it so I will just like the article that said forgetful people live longer and the one claiming chocolate has many many genuine health benefits. I have been looking at beautiful men in fandom for years, and right now between the skating (I have a list, a lovely list, from Yuzu and Jun to Stephane and Gwendal Peizerat and Brian J and... such a lovely list) and cdramas and what not, I am happy to believe that it is doing great things for my brain!

Of course, the fact that it was never filmed and shown anywhere might have something to do with that .

I take it you were using the Wagner music rather than the Rodriguez music that Jason was using.

Funnily enough, I actually wanted to link to a Pairs or Ice Dance programme, because I thought it would be more appropriate for the post since the question was talking about both Tristan and Isolde. Specifically, I was going to link to the Free Dance that Polina USOVA / Mikhail ANTONOV (RUS) used in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, because I had posted a comment after I had seen a performance of it one time. But I couldn't find any videos of it. So, I decided to go for the iconic Jason programme instead.

I can't actually name any skaters that have used music from Wagner's "Tristan And Isolde" in competition. So, this was the best I could come up with, from searching on YouTube for Wagner, Tristan and Skate:

But then I did the same search on Google, and found a page that listed programmes to it. And there was no question as to which one to choose.

You made a wise choice as to which pair to show, even if there had been a filmed version of our effort ! I doubt if either of them saw us, but if they did, the only thing they were inspired to emulate was the colour of my dress .

Hard to post something that was never filmed. Back before the dawn of time, kiddies, people didn't record every moment of their lives for posterity, not even the bigger moments. And very often the tapes of TV broadcasts weren't preserved anywhere .

When you phone an insurance company on a holiday weekend and they're short-staffed, so you get put on hold four times while you're transferred around, trying to find someone who can answer your question. Finally someone manages to help you, and then asks the obligatory "is there anything else I can help you with?" And you say, "Yes, you wouldn't happen to know what the music is that's been played every time I've been on hold? I don't recognize it and it would be great to skate to."

She didn't know, unfortunately. Darn, and I'd already started mentally choreographing a program.
