2025 CS Cranberry Cup Senior Women Free Skate

There was one summer that was worse a few years back... This summer is steady bad... less intense but always smoggy. It does affect me as I walk to work every day and swim outside 3 times a week... i just looked at the forecast and it will be smoky all week...
The other side down is that I cannot do stargazing... which is already difficult in a city but the sky is always covered now.
what's a star?

I've played tennis in the broiling heat 90s w the bad air. no other option. my pulminary doc put me on preds for a week. love tennis too much. it's the new normal. brutal.
I went to watch the Canadian tournament in Montreal... it was a clear sunny day but it was so hot... i put sunscreen everywhere but on one of my knees LOL.... and as I was sitting down, when I got home, I had a sunburn (not too bad) just on the one knee. i only watched two matches because it was too hot and I skipped the third one... I don't know how these players do it. Unfortunately, I picked the session with Fernandez, Marino and Andreescu (the first two played awful and Andreescu w/d because of her ankle) ... I should have picked a session with Mboko...

Oddly enough, I still can see a few things right downtown Montreal :) I met a guy from London who had never seen stars before and he was wondering why we were all excited and gearing up to watch the Perseids. I won't be able to see them this year with the smoke.

US Open is soon but won't go unless it's to the practice sessions. Very $$$$. And I suspect the heat will be on steroids. Very strict about bringing outside water. Although if Venus plays.....

No spectacular difficulty but nicely elegant and she's from Argentina!
First time ever I hear about Argentinian skaters and I was quite surprised..... wonder how and where she trains because I don't think there are any "proper" skating rinks there

Tried to find out a bit more info about her but the link under her name in the first post is not working for me, it directs to a website with an unavailability error message

Edit to add before posting :) : did a quick google search for her name instead.... it seems that though she technically represents Argentina, she was born, lives and trains in the US.... guess that explains it about the training part though I can't help it but feel a bit disappointing that she doesn't seem to have any real connection to Argentinian skating...

BTW... if you want to see the fine Canadian women that are not at Cranberry, they are at CQE later today... It starts at 11 but the final flight is much later around 2h30... . Fée Ann, SMD, Uliana, Breken are all there competing. SMD apparently landed a 3a in the warm up yesterday. She doesn't want youngster Lia Cho to land it in competition before her I guess.... SMD was landing them a couple years ago (IG) but she needed to focus on other areas of her skating (3-3 combo for instance) ...

Yeah... it was crazy expensive here too but I went to the 2nd round which was only 100$ for the afternoon session.
They let you bring outside water as long as it is sealed here... So i had a 1.5 L with me... and if Venus indeed plays... you should go :)
