2025-26 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 5 - Omsk

Oh my, the skater opening the second warm-up, he may be ahead in TES but completely lacks any sort of performance or artistic skills :frown: .... was quite shocked to be honest, I'm not used to see this in Russian men, there is usually some sort of "minimum" lets say....

And he goes into the lead actually... 😶 And he trains with Plushenko? artistic skills can't really be "taught" but Plushenko surely knew how to perform for one thing... surely some improvement can be done here....

I'm quite surprised they gave him 7th in PCS.

Average AoP man nowadays unfortunately. His elder brother was much more artistic.

Sarnovskiy had that youthful ardor semi-junior skate with a respectable content load but didn't have enough ardor to bring it in.

I keep thinking Dmitriev is a pair skater in tne making but he delivers solid single performances.

Now, do I want to watch Mozalev or just take a break?

I wonder what happens to men's qual. Dimitriev made it to the top 5. They might give him nationals ahead of Soloviov even with one stage...

Are they allowed to do that? The rules specifically state whoever has more cumulative score qualifies. I don't see a special clause for skaters who only perform once.

Mozalev the usual. Gorgeous skating, not enough jumping... good thing he had already a 4th place.
