Torgashev is so unpredictable that he was an absolute train wreck with his quads during practices here. There’s no way I would put faith in him replicating this level of performance in Milan.

I don't think Jason should be selected for the Olympics. But let's remember his World's placement helped the US get 3 spots in men's. Where was Torgashev?

He went to World's anyway and came in 6th so... he's 8th here. Not seeing it for him, sorry to say even though he's been the face of USFS for the Olympics for months now. Eeek.

Here’s what I would do if I were on that selection committee based off the season and what happened here. Name Malinin, Naumov and Sanchez to the Olympic team. Give Jacob the experience of youth for his future development. Finally give Max a chance to prove what he can do on a world stage; Andrew has been given that chance twice and failed egregiously both times in 2023 and 2025. Obviously, no justification needed for Ilia.

Right, and as rare as it is to see Jason skate like he did tonight; it’s similarly as rare or even more rare to see Andrew skate the way he did tonight.

Not throwing shade at Andrew at all; the facts and receipts are there on his competitive record for everyone to see. Andrew has really only skated lights out on nationals ice; his international record doesn’t give justification for his Olympic selection.

Congratulations to all of the medalists. Happy for everyone of them. Jacob really shines like a star. With Max, we do believe in miracles I hope he knows that.

I think excitement surrounding Ilia's performance here suffered a little from the audience being deflated about Jason and Tomoki. He was rock solid and the layout/planning he and his father do for each program has been masterful. I dread what comes tomorrow with the exception of knowing Ilia is going to the Olympics. I hope it's not a disaster.
