Dipyramdole, I didn't say Yu Na was like Michelle, but that she was a worthy successor. However, now that you bring it up, she is like Kwan in many respects the way she incorporates choreography and movement into her program. Yu Na will go down as one of the greats.Yu Na was in her own league this competition.
Mao needs a good lutz, triple axel and a clean program to compete with her. She is also a brilliant skater and quite capable of beating Yu Na. She skated a good LP and I was proud of her. She tried to fight back with another triple axel and that was a worthy effort on her part. She didn't just give up.
Joannie didn't have a great LP skate but a good one, enough to hold second. She always has consistency problems with her LP. However, I love her skating. Her presentation and style is unique and a welcome addition. You know you are watching a grown up. She has improved tremendously and that deserves alot of respect. She is also toned to the max.
Miki was a delight. I love her toughness and fight. I am so glad she got third. She deserved it. Love her jumps. She does nothing badly.
Carolina Kostner, did the expected. She has speed and not much else in my opinion. I consider her a refigerator break. She doesn't improve and her presentation is a snore.
Rachael was great. What a fantastic placement for her first World's. She will be a force to be reckoned with next year. She has such a cute personality. Her face just lights up when she smiles.
Alissa, a gorgeous skater who will always have problems with her jumps. But I will take her over others any day of the week because of the beauty of her skating.
It was fantastic seeing Michelle. She looks like a million dollars. I would love to see her skating again but I think seeing her at the Olympics is unrealistic. However, if it should happen, no one will be happier than me.
