Hungarians--I liked their rotational lift in the beginning of their program. Their twizzles were a little off. I think one of their lifts towards the last part of the program was rough. The commentators thought the music choice was brave, but wished that they added more technical content.

By the way about 10 minutes ago, Scotty Hamilton and Sandra Bezic previewed the ladies' event tomorrow on NBC. I wonder if NBC will show Samuelson/Bates live or taped?

LOL at the BBC commentator saying this would connect with the younger generation. Er, no, for kids, this is like watching their friend's parent trying to raise the roof to Lil' Wayne in a creepy attempt to ingratiate.

I really really don't like Il Divo but they're doing much better justice to the song than the Chinese did earlier.

Loved the Baby Russians performance.

Janet Jackson, Pussycat Dolls and Everybody Dance Now aren't popular music any more. That was basically a mix you'd find at a cheerleading competition 5 years ago, and it was corny even then. If a kid is caught listening to that music, a mob of his/her peers would be rounded up to beat down the kid, and no one would stop it. Even the kid's parents would be like, "yeah, s/he had it coming."

Either way, they'll probably show them. I doubt the US would leave one of their own teams unshown. I was kind of surprised they showed Crone/Poirier, though I think that was only to talk about a rivalry between the futures of US and Canadian ice dancing.

Oh television and their need for emphasizing rivalries everywhere.

Do I see the 2014 Olympic Champs? It was a great FD for them. Just a little more time and they'll be a Top 5 team in the Sochi cycle!
