Emilia & Vadym have the best skating skills and this take on R & J is different and unique. The frantic quality to their skating is a good match to this music and in the short as well. I hope that they will develop an emotional depth. While I marvel at the technical ability and like them as people, I do not connect with their skating emotionally yet.

I feel the same way. They are a little like Sinistsina and Katsalapov for me - where I appreciate their technical skills and talent but don’t have an emotional connection to them. It was a great Romeo and Juliet though and I did enjoy watching it.

I definitely appreciate their skill. I hope they do grow on me. But I connect much more to Green and Parsons and CPom at the moment.

What a great podium! I love Zingas and Kolesnik, and this gold medal is an important piece to their growing resume. Their consistency set them apart from the rest of the USA mid field this year. It's a joy to see them rise! They seem so happy and excited.

Shout out to the Browns and their unforgettable FD! I wish more programs had unique choreo like this. I'm glad they made the podium in their championship debut and I'm very excited to see them finally climb the ranks in the next quad.

I hope the Gages keep their FD next season. Not enough people saw it this year and it’s really elevated them. My fear is they don’t have as good material next year and they go back to being mid level in the judges eyes.

I connected emotionally with ZK the first time I saw them skate together 3-4 years ago. They ooze charisma to me. I find their performances passionate and intense. They’ve been remarkably consistent this year, starting with Kinoshita Cup in September right through to 4cc, improving as the pressure ramped up. I think they are something special!

I loved the whole competition! Congrats to Emilea & Vadym, Carol & Michael, & Oona & Gage!

As a little aside, so nice to see the French sisters Sophie & Marie (in the matching pink fleece jackets) in the audience with their banners & flags. I love how they are SO supportive of the skaters of many countries (not just here, but in the many competitions they attend).

Staying "unspoiled" for the rest of the events - we probably won't get around to everything else until Sunday. Peacock - why can't you keep up competitions longer than just 72 hours, ugh!
