Just want to point out that back in 2012 these guys said the same thing about Yuzuru.

I do think she has the potential to be incredible in a few years. She's also gorgeous -- just like Hanyu, the camera loves that face!

You do know they consider body shaming of skinny people as destructive as any kind. Some consider it bullying. My friend is super tiny and she eats more than about anyone I know. She is gets really upset when people tell her to eat. Just so you know.

Body shaming of skinny people? I'm male, 5'9.5, 135 lbs. Everyone always calls me too skinny. Personally, I don't even believe in body shaming. People should take care of their health, both ways. I eat over 1000 calories more than my dad who weighs 40% more than me.

With Frank's insistence that the flip stay in, and Gracie for some reason always ending up so close to the boards on her jumping passes... at best she'll make 4th. The U.S. won't see an American lady podium for a while. They all have jump and/or psychological issues that the U.S. Fed really needs to address.

That was interesting. I really don't know if I see the podium changing much after the short. I'm afraid for Ashley that several bad program in a row will really get in her head. And I really oped Gracie would step up to the plate here.

I just can't really get into Evgenia's programs, all 3 jumping passes and 2 spins in the second half, feels very unbalanced

and like come on? 9s for skating skills, let's not go there

I actually think if you consider the flow of the music it makes perfect sense. She builds with slower music doing steps and spins and then in the second half she does the jumps when the music picks up. It seems fine for me in terms of a well thought out program. Doesn't mean I like it though

She is a wonderful skater, and no way am I jealous over a 16 year old who is able to do something I have never attempted, let alone be able to land. But her leg sare skinny and knobby. Those are facts, not jealousy idiot.

OY!!!!! I just saw the protocol. And Mao UR both her flip and loop. If she rotated both fully and got at least 0 GOE on it, and got a 3Lz with 0 GOE on it....she would have broken the world record with 80.03.

There's no way Mao would have gotten a 3Z with 0 GOE, considering the edge call. Although the world record is still hers. Amazing 3A though!

I thought they said in the Kiss and Cry "Should have swapped it out."... meaning she might have been having second guesses about the flip (not just the edge, but confidence in the execution).

I mean IF she did it WITH the correct edge. Like I do calculations for scores to see "what would have happened if...." And negative GOE would turn into 0 for my calculations to be fair.

How the heck can any judge have given Medvedeva's 3L a -2 or even a 0?! :shocked:

Maybe he/she got tired by the number of Tano jumps. I know I am. After few, the novelty just runs off.
