2016 Europeans Ladies Free Skate

Here is a website (http://thejudgestable.weebly.com/the-judges.html) with judges opinions about the most grossly underscored performance of the last 5 years across all disciplines (women's, men's, pairs and ice dance). Mao's Sochi LP is mentioned as the most grossly underscored performance by 6 different active judges. ...

General comment: The so-called "judges" on the The Judges' Table site are not real judges, of course.

Judges are members of the skating fan community who decided to donate a few minutes after selected events to share their thoughts.

They are merely fans -- whose opinions are no more and no less legitimate than the opinions of members of GS.

Quite a few of the so-called "judges" indeed are recognizable as members of GS.

I have no problem with a site for fans to give their opinions.

But let's not pretend that they are real judges.

The "Events judged" listings means that the so-called "judge" contributed opinions to the site about those events.
Doesn't mean that the so-called "judges" were official judges at those events.

We realised something tonight (well late night here) which is you will never know how and when Anna is gonna fall, all of her falls are different. There is slip fall, fall and flip, fall and roll, fall and slide...

Who cares if Evegnia's body will change and she will lose the tanos? SNATCH THOSE AWARDS WHILE YOU CAN!

This by the way would be why I'm kind of in favor for increasing the senior threshold by one more year(even if it makes me unable to see my favorite juniors for a year longer). Do well first year -> slump after puberty happens way too often.

falls aside, Pogorilya was particularly charming tonight. she added many little nuances to her program, and she was goregeous out there! thosefalls thogh.. she'll break her liver and spleen if she continues to fall like that!

Yes, it's a real drama with her. She keeps improving and has gained a lot in artistry, but damn, those horrific falls keep coming! :bang: At least she does not break down any more.

I liked Radionova's dress even though I usually do not like black. Happy to see Anna so happy. It would be nice if there were also other nationalities on the podium but this time I am happy Anna is there. She deserves it.

I want to sing with my Queen Florence 'Sometimes I feel like throwing my hands up in the air' - I'm throwing them disappointed, but who cares?

Already lighting candles for Bobrova/Soloviev and Papadakis/Cizeron :ghug:

She got more important hardware than Ashley Wagner, whose been skating for way longer.

She's 16, isn't her body already in the process of changing :scratch2:

But what we do know that it's always a tumbling, hard and painful fall. She should seriously do some martial arts basic course or something and learn to fall safely... She will hurt herself before long.

But she was all cuddly with Tuk at Worlds last year.

Might be because she likes Liza better, or she is a year older and next to the fun she has while competing, there is something she didn't feel before. It might be that this season was especially tough on her and she became more and more ambitious. Who knows? Either way I think it's human, and absolutely understandable. That doesn't mean she is a mean girl. Only that it hurts and her emotions have changed. She is a teenager, no matter how sophisticated she appears. I would cut her some slack.

I actually like it better than her old one but I also think that it doesn't work well with the program.

I'm so absolutely thrilled for Angelina.

Sad but happy for Anna, I think she's my favourite Russian so it stings a bit more haha.

I totally understand why Lena is not even hamming it up for the camera; girlfriend is not here for second place (lol).

Congrats to my little 'tano queen Evgenia!!

Of course we're not talking about who the best skater is or even who is better in a competition. You're talking about point strategies for winning.

Yes. The best competitor gets the best medal. The rest is just in our heads.

Saying who is the best skater seems like a pointless exercise.

Are we doing a prayer circle before the competition tommorow?
