LOL...Fuji TV cut off her interview to show a replay of Satoko's skate.
Kevin Reynolds speaks better Japanese than Mirai.

I would have had Kaetlyn in 5th and Gracie 6th. Meh. What can you do.

I am very happy for the koreans, they are improving so much from time to time!!
The one thing I have learned from the Ladies event here is that if Gold goes clean in both program she will be world champ in Boston. Cause if she can pull up scores like these with a terrible short and a so-so free her scores will be sky high when she goes clean. And even if she can do a so-so short and a so-so free at worlds she will certainly medal! The judges seem to love her and want to mark her high.

She should definitely get 2 now since this new Seasons Best score will put her solidly in the top 25 highest seasons best- at the moment I think she's actually going to be 12th
Since spots aren't especially 'limited' in the ladies and since this is quite high on the SB list, chances of her getting only one have fallen to almost nothing.

So Youn, the fourth! Although her first half was unstable, she pulled off the last. She was so close to being on the podium. Like this competition, she needs to deliver a clean SP.
Congratulations to the medalists, especially, Mirai. I'm really impressed by her tenaciousness. She shows us that she is still a good competitor.

I love Satoko's english! But I think South Korea did a much better job of doing the interviews last year. LOL at the food question!
I'm sad that So Youn had a great chance to win the bronze but 4th is still a great accomplishment for her. Congratulations to Satoko, Mirai, and Rika!!! Technically it's a Japanese sweep!

I highly doubt this is true since Japanes is the only language her mom speaks and so is the only way she can communicate with her mom. While there might be dialectic or accent issues of some kind going on, I just don't believe Mirai's Japanese is bad.
Yes that's really something they have to work on, not only the technical side of the performance but also the artistic part. I think that part of the components will grow while they establish their name on the international scene. So Youn just needs some more outing like the one she had during this competition, and Nahyun and Dabin just came up from junios, give them time!
However, Dabin really has to work on her expression, and all three ladies should improve their ss and speed. Nevertheless I love all three of them, especially my darling SoYoun!
