2016 JGP Ljubljana Cup Ladies FS

Behind Lim? Oh dear.

She really has to fix her jumps. She has the best layback out of anyone but that's not of much use on its own.

With Alisa being fifth, Alina end up in third. And got ticket to JGPF I guess. Along with Rika of course, and maybe Marin.

Poor Alisa, the tech panel slaughtered her jumps... I mean, those calls were fair, but... I just want her to do well, because her spins are so great :sad21:

On the other hand, she could just drop jumping and focus on becoming a super model, she's stunning even for the standard of the Russian girls :drama:

I think Lozko has to beat Zagitova but not Honda for Honda to get to the Final?

Honda can still make the final, but it heavily depends on how others score in the last 2 events.

She already has a nearly 10 point lead in Total Score on Konstantonova, so if they tie with 26 points, Marin would most likely be in.

Well. That was some competition!

Rika was inducted into the Sisterhood of the Triple Axel and also skated perfectly. Marin made a few silly mistakes but was still able to pull off second. Alina basically bombed (for her, that was bombing :hopelessness:). Eunsoo hit the boards hard but managed a nice program. Alisa spun brilliantly and UR'd things...again. And Ashley almost skated clean but still came in 6th.

A truly fantastic event!

One of the surprise today is Eunsoo, what a strong mind to have a comeback with that quality after that crash on the board. I so agree with Ted that she is "A New Yuna Kim"

All the Zagitova "fans" and Marin haters on YouTube must have a breakdown right now
They screamed how she Will thrash Marin and win ect. ect. :roll5:

So that's twice today that Japan has beaten Udmurtia.

Nebelhorn Trophy

Japan: 1[SUP]st[/SUP] (Mai Mihara)
Udmurtia: 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] (Liza Tuktamysheva)

Ljubljana Cup

Japan: 1[SUP]st[/SUP] (Rika Kihara) and 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] (Marin Honda)
Udmurtia: 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] (Alina Zagitova)

Still good that both skaters from a place that is not very well known got onto the podium. But, I was predicting them both to win.

Oh well. Maybe next time.

5 different gold medalists after 5 events. JGPF qualifiers may need a gold in order to make it at this rate. How much faith do you have in Gubanova winning a second gold? :coffee:
