I hope TAT is being misinterpreted again.
No, she did say it but I figure she just mistook him for someone else. Happens.

i would not mind if Javi leads thanks to his PCS or all +3 for his spins, but when you give him +2 for that very messy combo...
Moris is the one who really got robbed on PCS here. He should be several places higher in my opinion. :curse:

Oh, I missed him - gonna watch later. Now food and then women...
Congrats to Javier on an amazing SP! And good for Maxim and Alexei for strong SPs as well, including a personal best from Maxim.
Wish I had some popcorn at my desk while perusing through the all the posts of haters losing their minds over Maxim.

People were actually pretty nice about it...so you won't have much opportunity to see those "hater posts."
I wouldn't comment much on Javi, but I don't see the problem with negative deduction on Kovtun's Quad. Yes, it's huge, but is there any preceding steps into that solo jump? Not really.
Surprised he even got a positive GOE to be honest.

Yeah, the +2 on Javi's combo was generous, but the lack of preceding steps is probably what some of the judges nailed Kovtun for. And many of Kovtun's other elements lack the quality. Still the 4-3 was a beauty and scored appropriately.
I'm surprised by some of his PCS... I mean, I know he's not the greatest skater out there, but some of the judges (particularly J3 and J4) were pretty tough on him -- I mean, 7.75 for PE for a clean skate with 2 quads?
Even Javi's combo has no steps before -> no negative GOEs (despite also the rough landing on the first part)

And even accepting it, that's a 0, not a -1 or -2!!
The requirement for steps is in the solo jump. There's nothing wrong in not having them before the combo.
