2017 Four Continents Men FS

Which is why the other guys have to ignore it and do their own thing... hard as it might be.

Honestly it feels a little underhanded, to put that out right in the middle of competition and try to rattle people...

Proud of you Grant! Stays committed to the program and never gives up.

I'm so nervous now that I feel like throwing up... thankfully there's nothing in my stomach.

Final group is here. Let's dooooo thiiis!!

edit - It's also crazy how many programs for his peers Misha has already choreographed for including Anna Pogo's short (which I love).

This is a competitor's move....They'll have to wonder if he's going to do this layout at World's. They'll be wondering if they have to up their own tech content. They'll have to wonder if they can. He'll be in their head.

A smart and proactive strategy. Nathan and Rafa are going for it. They've both very cool and collected, mentally tough and no-nonsense. Nathan has the fearless mindset of a champion.

Am I going to be a coward again and turn off the stream for the final group or not. Stay tuned.

no double standards please... I just find it odd that some skaters get away with less skills because they quad, while others don't...

No freaking kidding, and the USFS are real good at that double standard.

But if Jason has lower PCS than Boyang/Nathan at the end, I'm going to scream.

Nam still has the 2nd highest score in the FP... considering his whopping 72 in PCS... that just tells you something..... I liked Jason and Misha... but if the sport is going to reward jumping, then reward those who jump quads...

no double standards please... I just find it odd that some skaters get away with less skills because they quad, while others don't... and some skaters get away without big jumping while others don't... it seems like PCS is just random... and broken... okay :) i am done...

in the meantime... looks like Nam is slaying himself into top 9.

1 Jason BROWN
USA
245.85 9 1
2 Misha GE
UZB
239.41 8 3
3 Nam NGUYEN
CAN
237.08 13 2

I agree with your every word. In my opinion Nam should be at least leading the freeskate.

Why are they announcing him as Mischa Geee? Isn't his father Chinese? That G in his last name should be pronounced as in Go, and the "e" is more like "er".
Unless the Gee pronunciation is something he agreed to..

Misha pronounces his own name in the video below -- as Jee.

Hat tip to Doris, who has added many pronunciation links to Fan Fest OPs.
