The important $64,000 is... I have always wondered... *gulp*... if Nathan 'Bartholomay' Chen's curls are natural or permed? Kind of like I have always wondered if Daisuke's curls are natural or fake. Or did Nathan go to the hairdressers and goes, I will have a 'Daisuke' please?

He had straight hair when he was a child (during Peter and the Wolf FS). Not sure if the straightness and curliness of human hair is maintained throughout a person's life.

Recently I found out that some dark haired Caucasian adults were born blond/blonde. Eg. Taylor Lautner was blond as a child but now has black hair. Apparently hair colour can turn darker during teenage times.

what i have been finding funny is that everyone is mentioning the quadsters in this thread, and despite my constant enforcing, nobody is talking about Kevin... well how many skaters are doing 2+ 4 quads in this field? oh... and just for fun... how many of the skaters in this field have won this competition before???

Whaa...?? Kevin is doing 6 quads?!! How on earth?!! Chan perhaps it is is time to fill out these grad school/MBA application forms...

Nathan's hair seems to be natural to me, because he's always had dense hair, even as a kid. It may looked straight when he was younger, but when a dense hair grows it can get really curly. It's the same for Daisuke who also has dense hair.

As for Caucasians, yes, many of them have light hair colour when they are born which changes later in the childhood. My hair changed a lot too from light brown to very dark (almost black) in just one year aged 7-8.

Post puberty I became a very dirty blond with coarse hair and lots of curl.

My guess is Nathan's curl is natural - its beautiful!

He is planning 2 in SP and 4 in FP.

Thanks for the link. Checking these, there are some errors/typos in there. Nam, for example, is doing two 4S in his short program? And two isolated 4S in the FS? I assume the first one is supposed to be 4S-3T. There's also Patrick's 3A-3T from earlier.

Even in Malaysia, it is quite rare to see a Chinese with natural curly hair.

There's a saying about Chinese - There is nothing straight in a Chinese except their hair. This is not referring to sexual orientation but straight here pertains to the craftiness of Chinese people in business dealings.
