I truly hope B/S will get better programs for the Olympic season, I truly believe that with the right material they are capable of more than this. That was still very good but I feel like there's only so much you can do with that music.

And I miss Anna Karenina. That's a Frankenstien monster of a program. Only a Frankenstein that never comes to life.

Bobrova and Solovyev are great skaters, and the program could have been a masterpiece if Zhulin would have made it not so opened and added another piece to Chopin.

Russian couple had some unintentionally messy moves i.e. flying with pasty arms like an upside down sea anemone. Props to hitting difficult positions, but it looks a bit spooky, and not in a good way.

Agree. Not only their programs don't show their qualities, but I almost felt like it was underwhelming. Dima almost held back the entire competition.
Remember their FD last year, they were great ! I don't get why not today....

G and P too bad about the twizzles. B/S nice skate. I finally got a good stream lol. I really like them I would love to see them move up but there is not much room. Their score is a bit lower than I would have given them but that leaves room probably for Weapo and the Italians as well as the americans to stay ahead. I wonder if the French and virtue and moir will hit 120.

And to think that score is higher then W/P SB so they might even move ahead of W/P with that skate!

On the one hand I respect that these two have found a style that works for them and committed to it 120%. On the other hand, even for a huge fan like me, it's really hard not to tune out slightly when they're skating basically the same exact free dance to nearly the same exact music they've skated to 100+ times before.

Audience reaction during and after tells you all you need to know about the kind of performers they are though
