2017 Worlds Free Dance

I think the contrast in skating skills between Weapo and the rest of this group is very obvious. Skating skill wise, they belong to group 1. And they definitely can pull of passionate program. Their Maria de Buenos Aires is a masterpiece.

I'm gonna try to stay tuned but I gotta be honest...I'm fearing the Schmaltz potential coming up.

And just you wait, if any of the teams mess up a bit in the next group they are going behind everyone else. I can totally see it. (Though, it wouldn't be surprising since there's five or six teams between a 3-point margin)

Not even first in the free, REALLY ?
I don't prefer any team over the other here it's just FACTS. They were very good compared to B/S who weren't at their best, and with PCS included, they still got to be behing in the free...
We will see how much the other will get now...

I honestly have no idea where the judges keep pulling those super high PCS for Bobrova & Soloviev from, but then again I never got their scores. Their retirement following Pyeongchang is one I am looking forward to, sorry to say it especialy after I chastised some people in the pairs thread for saying the same thing about Duhamel & Radford for being mean, haha.

so i ditched my appointment right at the time weapo were starting so i could watch them...

when i saw the score, in 3 of FD i was thought it was a joke.... really? whatever.

What is going on? Do they take us for complete idiots? In what universe did B/S deserve to be placed above C/L? I am very, very annoyed with the games and politricks going on here!! Not impressed. Come on top 5, bring it :tantrum:

The russians were a hot mess. Interesting how they reappear a year before the Olympics. This happened before that last Olympic cycle.

I've picked up on your lack of love for Team Beaver. Eh, everyone got different tastes, I guess. :)

They are, in terms of skating skills, skating better than ever. But they are languishing in the standings. And no, I don't put the blame on them now being Canada #2 behind Virtue/Moir. Look at the Americans...they are all duking it out virtually neck and neck.

Their material this year was unfortunately simply forgettable. What they need is new and innovative to get the judges' attention again, and they need it stat if they hope to be fighting for the podium at the Olympics next year. They have all the skill to do it, just not the vehicles.
