2017 Worlds Short Dance

I realize now, stupidly, why we are seeing so much blue and black: Because everyone has to do the midnight blues! Sheesh. It's only taken me all season to catch on. I feel really silly now.

Looking forward to next season to seeing some colour and flare in those rumba dresses. I'd pay to see Scott Moir put some Chiquita bananas on his head.

It can be good or it can be a disaster

afraid of neon dresses :roll9:

Two of the teams I root for are in this flight! Team Dirty Dance and Team Turkey.

On the other hand is that the Belrus team with the dreadful, awful techno version of Hello? I'm still angry with them for subjecting me to that during the GP season.

Yes it is a 2/3rd Fodder Flight. But we'll start seeing who is going to clear through. Watch those Qs!

Sorry to disappoint you, but they are both Canadian. And used to both skate together for Canada.

Although, from her name, she obviously has Armenian ancestry.

Eurosport 2 has just started their coverage.

Isn't that how most small countries usually start out nowadays? Transplants from other crowded nations?

No it wasn't these two. I was going to complement them on the much better music choice but it's not the same team. The girl in team is only 17. They might not be belrussian. I just remember the awful music. and her dreadful hotpants.

These two are so bad. I could barely bring myself to watch the end. I find almost nothing redeeming about their skating at all.

The Belorussians were positively GLACIAL. I still can't see how they got GP slots. And they'll probably clear through.

Oy.

I like the hint of maroon on her underskirt, and the sheerness adds a little interest to his otherwise boring shirt.

She looks like... who's the Russian girl who's partners with the son of other skaters? The one that looks like a Cupie Doll?

Oh, and TAT had arrived

Yep. But, I just wanted to make sure everybody had the full picture.

Look at Cyprus, the small country I have adopted. Their skating programme started off with a couple of Russians (Cyprus has a large Russian ex-pat population), and now there are lots of promising young local skaters coming through.

By the way, the main skating club on the island celebrated their 10th anniversary a couple of days ago.

Really nice curve lift from the Latvians. He looks like he took time off from his regular gig as a wedding singer.

Not seeing them clearing thru...
