I am almost more intersted in the battle for places 4-8. The podium this year is the most painfully predictable of all disciplines, Virtue & Moir certain gold, Papdakis & Cizeron certain silver, Shibutanis certain bronze, zzzz. However Chock & Bates, Bobrova & Soloviev, the Italians, #2 and #3 Canadians, Hubbell & Donohue could come in just about any order, and will make for an exciting competition after the predictable and non competition for the medals.

I actually think the Shibs could cause an upset and grab the Silver from Pap/Ciz. Their technical consistency is their strongest weapon at such a huge competition like this when nerves may cause others to falter.

I'd also love to see Hubbell/Donohue skate two clean programs... that free dance has become one of my favourites.

From their tv schedule, it appears british eurosport 2 will start broadcasting SD about 2 hours after the short dance competition starts live(so about 1 hr 40 min from now)

BES1, no. BES2, yes!

For the first time this week, there is no cycling on today. And as a result, Eurosport is able to show the morning figure skating competition LIVE for a change.

BES2 11:00 – 14:15 Short Dance LIVE

So, that should be just in time the start of Group 4, if my calculations are correct.

See, it wasn't the snooker that was preventing Eurosport showing the figure skating. It was the cycling!

Because push bikes take priority over EVERYTHING else!

Loved your take on BESP cycling coverage in the livestream thread and here . I would ask you if you notice more people cycling on the roads(BBC article from early 2016 claims British interest in cycling has greatly increased), but I don't want to risk reminding you of an irritating subject before a hopefully lovely SD event .

Well sadly no Aussies in the ice dance competition, but I've become more interested in Ice Dance with the Shibs sibs so here I am!

Except the SBS livestream insists on being a skippy mcskipperson for me, so I'll probably have to watch a Russian stream. Ah well.
