2018 Four Continents Mens FS

LOL Shoma is nervous...

I think this is not exactly bad for Shoma. Shoma looks nice and fluffy in the green room, all smiley, but he wants to win, he wants it bad. He hates to lose. I love Shoma and am not really sad about this loss, because it'll help Shoma be better in the long run.

Yayy!!! I'm so happy for Boyang :luv17: Congratulations to him on his victory and his amazing performance!! That was great fun, and his jumps are just beautiful

And really, congrats to everyone that competed here tonight!! This seemed like a great competition overall and was so much fun to watch. It was especially beautiful to see such awesome skates from those who are likely retiring and from the US men that had struggles at nationals.

I might be biased since I'm still so delighted after Boyang's performance, but this might have been my favorite event of the season so far :hap10:

He won! 85 PCS?

He does need a little more speed and quality, for eg., in his StSq, but even then this was improvement over just last night!

I think he should've had a couple points more, at least.

EDIT: Well, actually, maybe not, because some jumps weren't really connected too well. But such a difference!

How come figure skaters always have great hair even after skating?! My hair frizzes up and gets all messy at the slightest provocation. I'd look like a birds nest if I'd just done Boyang's program LOL!

Interesting interview with Boyang, who's ready for the Olympics!

This was AMAZING to watch!! So exciting!!!

Please Shoma change that mustard curtains to something that actually suits you. I love you, but that yellow thing has to burn. I almost forgave the costume at the end of your skate, though.

I TOLD YOU TO NOT UNDERESTIMATE BOYANG. CALLED IT.
when he was injured and no one was taking him into account in Oly predictions.

And my precious Jason gets a bronze medal!!!

Just PURE HAPPINESS!!!

Rule no.1 : Boyang always peaks at the right time

Rule no.2 : Never write him off EVER, he has 2 world bronze...

Congratulations to all medalists. I enjoyed all of their skates.

Wow, Jason also earns his first ISU championship medal. What a great reward after the Nationals.

Jin is back! Maybe the layoff was good for him, he seems smoother and more confident overall, and also to have improved in the landings of his jumps. Just would like a bit more choreography in the second half jump sequence.

I think boyang’s jumps are better than ever! Their so clean with a good edge coming out! So nice to see those GOE!

Finally get to tune in on break at work and we are done. Looks like a lively event.

Shoma received 2 carrots for 4Lo< and 4F< fall.

Boyang did not manage to tag 3T to his iffy 3Lz combo.

So these are the improvements that can be made before Olympics as far as TES is concerned.

Boyang looks unstoppable. I am so happy for his amazing achievement! Yay, Boyang!

Yeah, it was impressive - he didn't just look recovered. He looked in great form. His axels in particular were the strongest I've seen them. I wish he'd have more of a flourish to his quads - he does kinda just DO them, instead of PERFORM them. But at this point, it's best to get the elements done and get the win and then amp it up for the Olympics.
