Wakaba’s WC18 FS still gives me chills and causes me to tear up... I’m sure Daria has had skates that better show her talents than the ones at SCI, but this SP is utterly forgettable and she lacks presence on the ice. Which is made even worse by how recent the memory of Wakaba is.

Better outing for Daria, good job! Step sequence felt very deliberate and thought-out, but I liked a lot of her spins.

Daria Panenkova (RUS)

Good flying spin to open, a bit wide on the change of edge. Nice rippon 3Lo. Counter into 2A, not a lot of height or distance though. 3Lz+3T, hard landing, 3T looks <. Good positions and rotation through the combo spin. Good depth of edge through the step sequence but not a lot of emotion. Alright layback spin, a bit wobbly on the Biellmann.

Better than she did at Skate Canada for sure. Adele's Skyfall still overpowers her a bit, but better technically.

Replay: 3Lo looks good. 2A may be <. 3T definitely < at least.

Not completely unrealistic, but I don't think she will. I mean, it could happen if others skate badly, but she'd need a heck of a lot of people to skate badly.
