Kostornaia was delightful as ever, landed everything, but somehow I was really scared for her jumps today :hopelessness:

Alena Kostornaia seemed just a touch less sure than usual. Kanysheva put the pressure on? But well done, of course. Will she be turning that opening 2A into a 3A later in the season?

Beautiful skating from Alena — a big fan of that, but I’m still not a fan of this program. The music cuts are a bit disconnected.

I do like the costume though.

That's clearly the idea, I'd say. There's no reason to open your program with a solo 2A otherwise.
