I'm still amazed by Alena. I thought she was a nice skater prior to today, but I was seriously mesmerized in a way I haven't been in a long time watching her. I truly hope she is able to stay among the top Russian ladies for a long, long time. Incredibly gifted and special skater.

ITA! She is just Exquisite Perfection! Alena's carriage on the ice and the way she holds her arms right through her finger tips are so remarkable especially for a 15 year old.

Kostornaia is sublime. I get that her artistry and emotional expressiveness is naturally given to her, but my God, where did she learn such exquisite basics, extension, and lines? Her skating is so elegant and matured for one her age. She easily outclasses most of the senior ladies when it comes to artistry.
