2018 Olympic Figure Skating Ladies FS

Alina did great, but if artistry and performance can’t make up the difference in two performances that technical close, then skating is no longer an artistic sport. It’s just half-pipe on ice with sparkly costumes. This is the same thing that happened to gymnastics. I find it sad, but nothing that can be done if that’s how those in charge like it.

I felt so sad watching Eteri talk to Zhenya and then Alina hugging her and patting her after that.. :sad21:

Amazing skating fro the last group of skaters!! Congrats all the medalists!! All in right order !

Thrilled for Kaetlyn!!!!!

Evgenia's program was soooo good today. But the ISU should start penalising the helicopter arm, it's like an eyesore, and hers was as bad as Sotskova's.

The bronze medalist is the happiest person again.

On so many levels. To lay her cleanest of all season, most poised and electrifying performance under biggest pressure, sandwiched between two favourites for gold AND survived it all, adding a lot of plain hate poured on her throughout the season, it is truly remarkable. And rewarding, too - the bronze has shine of gold and taste of victory. My bows to Ravi, Jeff and the Lady herself. Immensely glad to see the gorgeousness of that face and dress on the Olympic podium

I just realized....Both Alina and Evgenia got 156.65 for their FS

I know I sound crazy but I'm 100 percent positive Osmond would have screwed up the second half of her program if she nailed the lutz. I think she needed that mistake to take some of the pressure off

Unrelated, is that tall Korean man in the blue top someone important? Or a basketballer? he's so tall!

Kaetlyn sure looks very happy! Second and fourth place are the worst to get.

Well Zhenya's taking it well, to be honest I'd still be out the back sobbing uncontrollably and ruing the day.

I wonder if zhenya goes for another 4 years now.

Expect Zagitova to disappear now in the vein of most Russian skaters (and Tara).
