I am not a person who easily cries but I am getting very teary because the best program of the night did not get properly rewarded and the podium was totally fabricated by joggling the PCS. Unbridled devil acts. Told ya we have to pay for the good things.

Despite the fact I was cheering for Alina through that all season and I am really happy for her, I saw that extremely emotional skating from Evgenia and how she improved... and I am a little bit sad...
And I wish, Satoko be in third place.
And I wish for Maria a higher place.
I am surprised by my feelings.

Wow what an event. Congrats to all 3 medalists here, they all laid it down and put out their best. Sorry for Evgenia that she missed out on gold by such a small margin, she is handling it with grace. Sorry for Satoko too who was beautiful tonight but missed out on the podium.

Alina looked so lonely in the waiting area.

I feel sorry for her. She's new to the senior scene so probably not very familiar with the other skaters, and her coach pretty clearly favours another skater.

Still, at the end of the day she has an Olympic Gold. Not many others can say that.

I think Alina didn't comprehend what just happened. She was not determined to get Gold like Evgenia. Even after yesterday's win, she was not that excited at all, simply saying she was actually nervous, and didn't expect that big score for her sp. But what a night. I am glad both Alina and Evgenia delivered; and happy that Kaetlyn got the bronze over Satoko, by a big margin too. Good message to late boomers.

Tru. I am honestly so devastated for Gabby that I can't recover. ILU too Kaetlyn... but Gabby + Evgenia is too much for me to take tonight.

Alina has been living away from her family and said this would make a big difference for them. Congrats to her and her family for this triumph!

In Putin’s Russia? Not nearly as much as you’d think. I wish it weren’t that way, but neither Med nor Zagitova is going back to a wonderful world.

I can’t say Zagitova didn’t absolutely deserve it with that 3Lo save, but having Medvedeva skate last (with her program being my personal favorite) ended up leaving the night feeling like a downer when I’m not actually upset with the results? I mean, there are credible cases for both a Zagitova and Medvedeva win. But Zagitova wanted it.

Aww...tough silver for Evgenia, she has been dominant for so long. But Alina couldn't properly celebrate or show her joy at winning either since Evgenia is obviously heartbroken.

That was an awesome final flight, though. It really helped ease the pain of the penultimate flight. All in all, an absolutely killer ladies competition.

Medvedeva really outdid herself here. But because of the PCS being capped at 80, it really wasn't possible to reward her for it.

That's the problem with the ridiculously high general level of PCS scoring that we're having right now. The significant improvements can't receive higher scores when the skater already was receiving 9.75s.

Wow! Katelyn pulled that off finally!! And I haven’t been the biggest Zhenya fan but I felt sad for her... her Lutz was still not called so.... it just bugs me how Mao’s was always called but hers has not, but regardless I thought her performance was miles above Alina but whatever
