Duskova / Bidar

A little forward on the sbs 3T from Duskova. Fine triple twist with good height. Alright sbs 3S+2T, a bit far apart. Clean throw 3F, and good back entry into the lift that came very close to the barrier. Clean throw 3S, but not a lot of height nor distance. Nice spread eagle entrance and position in the lift. Okay death spiral, better combo spin. Nice split positions in the Group 3 lift. Very sloppy sbs spins that were just all over the place.

I think they had a lot of interesting flipping transitions, but they weren't able to emphasize the beats all that much. Their elements don't have a lot of high GOEs, but they were clean on most of the major elements. This is a team that should improve given how young they both are. They can continue to work on their speed, flow, and extension.

I cannot stand all this talking during the program. God, just shut up! :palmf: I need a chinese stream. The commentators are always quiet and only whisper the elements/levels, leaving their opinions for the replays.

Really? It's changed from the 90s/early 2000s then, every time I watch a Chinese version of a program on YouTube the commentators are talking like they're paid for each word!

I would love to see these two become medal contenders in the future, at least. Love their flow and energy. And they'll only be 26 in 2026 olympics... crazy.

Agreed! Especially since they say the same crud over and over again. Need a annoying commentator drinking game

I have a word to say to all the skaters that chose Cirque du Soleil

Watch Akiko Suzuki's program
Watch it again
Now take a look at your costumes
Watch it again

Now spot the difference

Yuzudaughter is begging to skate to Incantation next season. Her coach thinks the music is too powerful for a 9 year old. :confused2:

Most of the times the pairs' "difficult entry" to the lifts or twist or throw jumps just make me cringe because the difficult move is usually so laboured and overdone that they don't flow naturally to the element.

Akiko's 'O' is perfection. Still the gold standard. I still get teary eyed watching her NHK that year.

Hocke has such a nice arch in her back on the lift! Lovely!

I'm also a fan of the flowers in her hair. Something different. Very pretty.

does that end up being 2T-2T-2T? Then scored as 2T-2T because of the self-Zayaking

ETA: Looks like they got 3.5 points for it, so I assume it counted as 2T-2T-2T

Well after four months I finally figured out how to put an avatar on my profile... Distracted me too much from the pairs. But I had to see CBC put this thing before my very own eyes on national television, how the heck was I supposed to resist???

Also I really enjoy the German's skating quality. Pity about those errors, but they have a nice light style.
