2018 Olympic Figure Skating Short Dance

They're ahead of H/D in pcs... but then again, the real shock would be if ice dance scores were actually accurate.

I like C/L this season! Especially the free. Love the energy of this despite some the sloppiness.

However, if I see one more sour faced look in the K&C from these two?? Sorry you're not among the top 3. Stop acting like you're owed 80s :rolleye:

Luca's very expressive, I like it!

And watch him use those legs!

In other news, I really enjoyed the Russians and am once again left questioning my taste?! LOL

H/D and the French are the only ones that engaged me. I don’t think there’s a single program by Shibs I’ve ever felt anything for while watching.

The majority here sure seem to

Not True. Majority realizes what judges leaned to all season long when it comes to FD, it is just a surprise that Canadians came first after SD. The factor of it is just too little to bag the overall win though.

This is so unfair. The transitions, edges, timing and performance should all favor Virtue and Moir this is so disappointing. The French are wonderful but they do not deserve to be so close in this skate.

That's your take. I personaly wouldnt give that high marks to VM for all you said except PE tonight. That's what happened. It seems the knowledgable person that actually see and judge the competition live agreed.

Cappellini / Lanotte

Wonderful sync through their twizzles (clear Level 4). Great snap and sizzle through the midline step. Very clean edges through the rhumba (Level 4). Love the flow through their partial step (Level 3). Strong rotational through the lift and a good setdown without that split which gave them a fall deduction in the team event.

Like all of their Latin spice in the interpretation. The choreography and transitions aren't as intricate as the top teams but they have plenty of performance and interpretive skill. Very uplifting and one of the best traditional Latin dances today. I hope the judges go with this so that they get in the 77s.

Solid skate by Anna and Luca, but it felt a bit tentative in parts to me. They are great performers, in general, but I find that they don't have the skating skills/ice coverage/etc. of the top teams. I also wanted her to straighten her leg in the split lift.
