I'm counting on this storm to get me out of work in the morning so I'm chancing it and staying up to watch the ladies. Go Ashley!

So... IN says specifically on their page that they're only blocking some video between the 5th and 7th, Fri-Sun. But NBC is broadcasting some of the SP tonight and I thought they weren't supposed to stream if NBC is broadcasting. So I should be good to just watch IN right? Or should I set up my TV too?

I think that Karen Chen, Courtney Hicks, or Angela Wang could make the Top 3 if they skate powerfully and clean.

Given up on Hicks & Angela really. Karen just don't have the consistency especially her 3/3 are under-rotated or fall and never clean.

Ice Network is making commentary and they're redoing the ice right now! Johnny and Tara look amazing- Johnny has a bright red coat. Should be good!

I’m cheering for a lot of skaters here, but most of all I want Mirai to be on the Olympic Team! :cheer2: (let’s hope I don’t jinx her...)

Also I hope that Courtney can FINALLY skate well here. It’s baffling to see how in so many previous seasons, she always followed the same pattern of impressing us in the GP and then blowing all that momentum away at Nationals.

except Kaori built up for the big moment ;)

I personally can't explain her rise other other than support the Russia agenda insisting miming and backloading is apparently greatest thing this sport has ever seen... and that yeah that while Wakaba is skating hot, let's eliminate the threat by make her none competitive at home... or at least it often feels like it this season.

I believe they only block it when its on the main NBC station, not affiliates like NBCSN. You should be fine with just IN.

True, they are not completely consistent. But I would say that Mirai and Wagner aren't the most consistent either when it comes to fully rotating jumps. Bradie has seemed quite consistent thus far, but we've only seen her twice this year so who knows. That said, Wagner, Mirai, and Bradie have the most momentum coming from the Grand Prix.

Has Caroline Zhang said if this is her final season?

Not that I know of. Some have assumed, because Grant has officially said it's his last season, that Caroline is retiring too, but I have seen nothing from her.

Not to get all conspiratorial, but Wakaba's scoring this season only makes sense to me if you assume she was held down in fear she'd throw in a 3A at Oly and disrupt the narrative if her GOE/PCS got too close.

Yup yup yup.... it also explains how come everyone (well... mostly Russians) got massive PCS / GOE inflations to minimise the gap relative to her despite their inconsistency vs hers consistency. Just bizarre... Same thing happened to Mai as well. It was weird.

I had a dream last night that Mariah was in first place after the short program and told the crowd during her interview that it was the last time they ever forgot about her. Then she threw the microphone on to the ice. I don't know about all of you, but I would DIE to see this. Go Mariah!
