Yes, the color balance is a travesty.

It's so bad. And they keep zooming in weirdly on the spins and then they transition from a camel to an upright or what not and their arms get chopped off.

I thought of Hicks while Miller was skating in that they're very similar. Looked at their score and it's almost a tie.

Yeah it's like the choice is

1) NBC w T+J - on one hand has better quality on the other hand, T+J
2) IN - Weird sound editing on the commentators so they sound muffled but they talk throughout the program and all sorts of other weirdness
3) JSports - Best quality and inoffensive commentators as far as sound mixing and when they talk but a couple minutes of delay

I'm going to have to resort to the Japanese stream on Friday and Saturday so I can watch the skaters that will not be shown because NBC thinks that showing replays of the top SP outweighs showing the person's FP that's happening in the moment.

It's a shame how repetitive Tara and Johnny can get. I remember thinking they were nice to listen to during the Soichi live webcast, but they have just not improved. They assume the US audience knows nothing, which is a huge contrast to the ESP guys, who do a great job.

Polina was nearly just as good as Bradie, who was also just a bit better than Wang. They are showing her again on JSports.

But I hate the judges for the disparity in their scores here.

All the nitpicking on Starr Andrews. The judges were overly managing Starr's scores, and some of the nitpicks in this thread mirror the judges exactly. Starr simply saved that loop by not putting her foot down or doing a 3-turn out. It was a great save, and anyone else would have been given better credit. Starr should have received at least 64+ for that effort. There's something wrong with the scoring. Starr has great presence and very good performance abilities, much better than Hannah Miller, so why is Starr behind Miller on PCS? They bound and determined to manage Starr and not let her rise quite yet in seniors. That's how I see it. Of course Starr has areas to improve, but give credit when it's due. Polina is on her way out, and she has not performed that well competitively all season. A good effort here by Polina, but the nitpick by some here about Starr not having speed! Well, in comparison to Polina, I'd say Starr is a speed demon. Geesh!

It's nice for Polina to skate as well as she did, but the judges ended up making a boo boo by scoring Polina somewhat low, and then deciding to keep Starr behind Polina. Whatever! It's figure skating.

Loved Bradie skating with confidence. That's the only way to do it. I'm also happy for Angela Wang, but I think Polina and Starr are scored a bit low in comparison to Wang.

If this wasn't Nationals with its inflation, I'd say the score was fair but in comparison to the others it's a shame.

I have no respect for Tara and Johnny. My tolerance for their gossipy, mean spirited commentary has reached it's limit. Let's just say I'm going to have to sneak booze into Olympic watching parties to get through NBC.
