Not the best levels for N/K and they did seem careful during their tango, but well they are such a pleasure to watch

That was probably their most reserved performance of the tango. They must've been thinking about levels...

Avonley and Vadym were mesmerizing as usual. 
Even with Yuzuru Hanyu, I can tear my eyes away for a split second to peek at the BV/GOE, but these two are both so attention-grabbing that I can only look away from Avonley to look at Vadym and vice versa. I'll have to check their protocols later.

He makes a perfect, strong frame for a jewel Avonley is as a performer: expressive, elegant, engaging
As much as some people deride it chemistry is so important in Ice Dance and they got it in spades.

Avonley always reminds me a lot of Madison Chock. She's just got that same air about her.
And since nobody commented about them, may I just say that Eliana Gropman's dress was just gorgeous! Not sure what the point in that red square at the side was, though.

I mean...It is not even about making them appear as 'a couple' (which for me is just wrong to assume automatically that ID team is good/worthy only if they make cute couple or appear to be in a relationship) - the underappreciated, underestimated trait in ID is to have a kind of chemistry that enriches BOTH partners while performing, that they appear to respect and understand each other, their material, story they want to tell, emotions they want to express. It just makes a team 'rounded', enabling them to make stronger connection with each other and the audience, even through the screen.

Ohhhhh, such a shame about that little slip, but great job making it look like part of the choreography! I think people who don't know what a pattern is probably wouldn't even know it was a mistake. Hoping the Greens can more than make up for it in the free dance.

It was quite an obvious mistake. It even affected their PE i think.
