My goodness. I can't handle seeing Kami with an obviously tear stained face. She has such a cute baby face. She is under so much pressure. Falling on a 3A isn't the end of the World.

it's like comparing real cheese to tofuRegarding Molchanova's SP: one can tell that Edith Piaf is just on a different level of vocal talent in comparison to people like Laura Fabian and Celine Dion.
Good job on the music choice, Urmanov.![]()
Looks like it stands for "Krasnodarskiy Krai" - Krasnodar region.yes! what does KRA stand for?
No but Anna, Kamila, (and Alena, Evgenia, and Alina) and Rika and Kaori DO score v well internationally, even when they have mistakes.Jumping into the Russian Ladies event late, hello all!
Man it is disheartening to see the PCS scoring discrepancy between Japanese and Russian Nationals. I know national scores don’t “count” for many reasons but don’t tell me they can’t affect the perception of these skaters internationally.
Anyway, just saw Maia and she did great!
I‘d like to have even half the resilience and determination that girl has! Honestly, I don‘t get why she‘s the only one held to such standards. Sure, her jumps are small and not always well rotated but then you have her, who never gets the PCS and always is butchered on edges and URs and someone like Guliakova, who had a 3Lzqe just as much as Sofia did but still scored over 70. And out of the two, Sofia‘s the European Champion! Makes no sense to me whatsoever.Sonya said in the interview that she is happy with her performance, but the judges like always found something to scrutinise (she said it half jokingly, so it wasn’t that salty).
The interviewer said that after the Europeans that year, everybody is waiting for her to have a big sort of ‘comeback’. She said that she is still here and she is not leaving (which makes me happy!).
also a Zamboni deserves to be fashionableSuch zebra zambonis.![]()
Perhaps/hopefully just an issue of her freaking out when she messed up that spin, she knew without a triple axel like Valieva and Trusova that she needed to be perfect to be close to their scoresThat was a really, really strong skate from Anna, probably her best performance quality yet for this SP...but the way she was struggling to catch her breath afterwards scares me for the FS.
I hope she will rethink and just go for one quad tomorrow. Two might be too much and she won't last the whole program I'm afraid.Anya said that she is happy with her performance because she is still not 100% recovered and definitely feels that. The interviewer asked whether she will have enough energy for the free skate, she said “we should always hope”, which was said in a joking manner but still a bit scary.
Yes, Guliakova's score was indeed strange. A bit too high IMO.I‘d like to have even half the resilience and determination that girl has! If she does two quads + backloaded 3-3's she will collapse after the fs. She is seriously ill and not in condition obviously. I hope (for her health) that she withdraws.I hope she will rethink and just go for one quad tomorrow. Two might be too much and she won't last the whole program I'm afraid.
Yep, in very poor taste. That journalist asking Maiia, on how she feels looking at favorites of the competition from the corner :-/ dude, what the heck...
