Rusfed sent a letter concerning Aliona and Alina’s scoring, not Anna’s, as far as I remember.
The letter was about three of them 🤷‍♀️

Last week, at the Grand Prix in China the judging team considered edges on all five Anna Shcerbakova’s lutzes unclear and gave her and exclamation mark. In France, judges saw the same shortcomings in Alina Zagitova’s jumps and Alena Kostornaia’s. Previously, specialists did not have such questions about these elements.

Alexander Gorshkov, president of the Russian Figure Skating Federation, said that the federation had contacted the International Ice Skating Union (ISU) to consider this situation.

That was incorrectly reported or translated by this FS-Gossip website then, because here R-Sport journalist Samokhalov confirmed with Lakernik personally that the letter was only concerning Aliona and Alina at IDF and had nothing to do with Anna and Liza at CoC.

I've never seen Scherbakova looking as expressive as she did today. Girl looked like she was skating for her life (literally).
Well some people do believe with suffering comes great art and she is in the middle of recovering from illness so ;)

I'm more then convinced she would make an AMAZING Marguerite Gautier

Who is that American, btw? I can't keep up with every news peice.
It's the Orange Thing of Doom aka the President. Which is pretty much the worst insult you could give anyone.

Because losing an election by millions of votes and refusing to accept it while mishandling an entire country is totally the same as calling out blatant judging BS don't you know?

Got here late. Don't want to dig through 33 pages looking for any discussion on masks and why are there so many people in attendance.
Especially since Rostelecom cup appeared to be a super spreader. Has this been discussed yet or am I the first?

Trusova did not quite get the scores she deserved (especially in PCS). IMO. I agreed with Plushenko, although I think he should not have shown his displeasure so clearly, LOL. Not good tactics, I would say.

OK, that's quite reasonable to concern about one ! by Alena and not by four ! by Anna... as long as Mr Lakernik finds the latter wasn't given baselessly. But possibly it was more about Alina's five UR anyway...

Top is lutz?

I‘d say the second one‘s the lutz. :scratch2:

Hard to say, when it looks like the same jump ;) that's why it's so aggravating when one skater gets called and other doesn't. Top one is the "lutz" fyi.

I for one am pleased he reacted, as he should. This is a sport, not a popularity contest. I also heard he spoke to the press and apparently set up a meeting with Lakernik to talk about all the ladies, lutz/flip edges and judging in Russia. I truly hope he can achieve something by this, he may have some influence because unlinke some other coaches he has actual experience of being the very top athlete and he is an Olympic Champion after all. He knows of injustice and looks like he's ready to fight for his athletes which is refreshing to see :)

Edit: Also I agree with BoP 100% and would have Sasha 1st after SP. She was clearly the best yesterday.

Here's the problem with how sh... works in the real world: Plushenko and his wife Yana Rudkovskaya may have the tens of millions of dollars they possess, but when you mindlessly crash your head against the establishment, your skaters "might get underscored".

Aleksandr Lakernik isn't your typical seat holder, he is the architect behind the IJS (COP). No doubt the most powerful man in FS at the moment.

Setting up a meeting to discuss concerns with the appropriate leadership is a positive move. Making a public display against judges' rulings with a thumbs down is not good sportsmanship.

Really? I guessed because the top looks like a flat, and she is known to have an edge problem on the Lutz. The bottom looks like a slight inside, therefore Flip.

This doesn't really prove anything either way. It's a single screenshot of a jump, that doesn't take into account the momentum and directionality, nor does conducting a poll on a website for fans say much about technique flaws.
