My living room is really too small for the balloons.

This makes me want to blow up balloons too! But alas I don't have any...

I learnt how to make these little paper Santa Clauses...maybe I could make a bunch and put names on them

My living room is really too small for the balloons. We added a whole bunch during the draw. now I had a reason to add Yablokov and Erokhov, and there could be duplicates, I was too lazy to sort through my GP balloon bundle. mom wrote all the names in Russian, so i think it wouldn’t count as duplicates anyway. I low-key wonder if I should add the second balloon for Mozalev with Russian spelling. Who knows, maybe it will help However, someone, possibly the cat, stole my golden marker, so all the names are either in bronze, silver or black…

You better take good care of those balloons! I don't wanna hear after the fact that the cat tampered with Erokhov and Yablokov's balloons.

I'm thrilled for Zhenya S but that seems awfully unfair to Mozalev.

Although it puts Zhenya S in the hot seat, if he messes up at Euros Andrei will probably get the Olympic spot.

So like no pressure...

Mistake. Zhenya was solid last year, but has not been this year. Mozalev has far higher potential and is more well-rounded. He gets solid intnl PCS, Zhenya does not. Send Andrei to Euros. If he bombs the short or free, send Zhenya to the Olympics. Or, leave Misha at home and let him rest since he will be doing both segments of the Team Event most likely and have a Mozalev/Zhenya skate-off.

Yes. Unlike the women, the men have lots of fierce competition at Euros. I think only Kolyada is safe for the Olympics at this point. Both Semenenko and Kondratiuk need to deliver.

I am heartbroken, but I felt Semeneko would be preferred because of his strong GP finish and short. I hope there will be other GPs, other Euros and other WCs for Mozalev.

It was. He did. That 4S and that short in France… and, of course, Semeneko has the longest of the short lists to be in higher warm up groups. My only hope was that they give Kolyada time to recover but it didn’t happen.

It's Russian men, honestly nobody is a safe choice
Mozalev with his 'surprise' bronze seems to be getting the treatment that Kondratiuk got last year (except Mozalev has a better body of work this time). Just hoping the Oly team doesn't automatically go to Worlds, and he can squeeze in somehow.
On the bright side he, along with most of the current guys, should still be contenders for 2026. I'm already looking forward to seeing how the new generation's storylines will unfold
