It’s such a pity too, judging by the short, Dikidzhi starts the season from a strong position, and I wanted to see Popov’s handling a lyrical skate… well, at least we’ll see Dikidzhi really soon.

Yablokov’s free rocked! 🔥

Well, we’ll see how France handles restrictions around Covid. Fingers crossed they will find a way to satisfy all the safety requirements and nobody gets sick.
Well, if current travel restrictions do not change, travellers arriving from Russia (and several other countries on their "red list") are required to undergo a mandatory ten day quarantine upon arrival in France regardless of their vaccination status. Which means skaters participating in the first JGP stage would need to be in France basically now to be out of quarantine in time for competition. I fear there might be the very real possibility that we don't see any of the Russian boys in the first two JGP stages. :(
This doesn't seem to be on many fans' radars, but it worries me, tbh. Hopefully, I am wrong.

I know about it, but I try not to go crazy over it, because Russians have a habit of lobbying for their athletes’ interests. I am sure they are doing everything they can to have them competing.

@flanker Aliev! I know every skater fully earns all the accolades, but my heart goes to Aliev so much after his last years’ hard recovery from Covid. Gosh, I hope he is well and will turn this season into a big one in his career. He is my dream Olympic contender for men’s team.
