I am a bit worried about Mark K. He was originally assigned to the first two JGP stages in France, but of course couldn't attend due to travel restrictions. No further assignment has materialized and only two stages are left. Will he skip JGP after all and hope for the host spot at Rostelecom? But what about Petr G. and Andrei M. and their chances to make GPF then?

That's a good question. I assume as long as he does not actually skate at a JGP he would be eligible for the Rostelecom host spot, no matter if he was in reserve for a JGP or not. But maybe he just needs more time to prepare and shows up at the last two JGP stages anyway? Surely they will give him some international assignments as the senior national bronze medalist.

I really liked Fedorov out of this competition. I don’t think I had seen him before. His triple-triple are really fast. Was hard to watch Kovalev struggle so much

Some inside info from St. Petersburg test skates has appeared ( @AlexBreeze for pointing this out in the Team Mishin Fanfest!)

Kolyada - FS: 4S, 4T-3T, 3A-3T (needs to be 2T to avoid Zayaking), 4T, 3A, 3Lz-Eu-3S, probably 3Lo, reportedly all of highest quality

Semenenko - SP: 4T-3T, 4S, 3A clean - FS: two quads, 4-3 combo, two 3As, the regular triples and combos, mostly clean

Lazukin - SP: 4T-3T, 4S, 3A clean - FS: no detailed info, just that he struggled a lot

Gumennik - SP: 4S(q?), 3A excellent, 3L-3Lo (with mistake)

Mozalev - SP: 4S, 4T-3T, 3A< (fall) - FS: 4S (possibly q or <), 4T-3T, 4T (possibly q or <), two Lutz combos (L-T, L-Eu-S)

Aliev, Ignatov did not attend, as they are currently at a training camp.

Vladislav Dikidzhi missed the St. Petersburg test skates due to illness, I doubt he'll show up in Kosice.

Dikidzhi is supposed to go to Ljubljana though, not to Kosice. This would give him one more week to recover. Maybe he can still make it if he didn't miss too much of his training time due to his illness?

Yes I saw that lol. Yes I did wonder whether he will be the final choice. Not sure what kind of form he is in.
