Is alyona in a bubble with her new coach? Like, no news is allowed out of the rink? I hope she is doing well and allowed to rest her broken bones. I thought perhaps she hadn't begun serious training yet and that's why no news?

she began training right after her transfer.

This is not my own analysis, as you understand, I only translated it. The same author made a similar analysis of Shcherbakova's long program, and if you want, I can publish it.

To be honest, it’s somehow even annoying to see talks about Anna’s jumps again, when it was she who had green squares both in the short program and in the free skate (in the free skate, the very first one was yellow, but then the judges removed all suspicion). Also, moving during spins is an illusion created by camera movement. This is clearly visible if you look closely at the inscriptions on the sides and marks on the ice.

Of course, I am Anna's fan and therefore my opinion cannot be completely objective, but I, in any case, have never belittled Sasha's outstanding achievements. Well, when you again talk about two quads against five - but it was Trusova who won the long program. That is, in this sense, five quads worked. But there was still a short program.

I can also tell you that I was very sorry for Sasha at the time of her nervous breakdown. I think that Anna also had rather conflicting feelings then. But what to do, there is only one first place.

I have said it before, quads are overrated nowadays as people seem to forget the big changes in the scoring system back in 2019. The +5/-5 system promotes the skater that is the most clean. For example, Anna's single 3Lz scored more than Sasha's 4T. That wouldn't have happened before 2019 when falling on a quad was worth more than a landed triple.

Sasha is amazing, and doing five quads is a fantastic achievement. But 2-3 of those quads had issues, so the scoring goes way down. Sasha won the free though, but too far behind from the short.

Trusova's problem has always been her desire for quantity over quality, think about her quad lutz, it was always nice but she never repeated it until the 2020 Nationals where she was forced to because an injury prevented her from training the others, a 4lz in combination is worth over 15 points, she was having to back-load her quad toe combination to get to 15 points BV.
 
Great skating this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to take notice of Maria Gordeeva, coached by Davydov. I hadn't heard of her before, so I was impressed with her SP which was graceful, and THEN, in the LP she does two 4sals and a 4toe!!! Like, what? Who is this girl? lol. Team Davydov is really coming into its own! I kinda hope Trusova goes to him and gets away from TT. Sasha would fit in with Samodelkina, another quad girl who has exceptional grace/style for her age, and now Gordeeva. Are there more quad girls there?
