Sounds to me like they couldn't make their minds up which version to produce, so they did them all at once.

I watched the first half of the 2021 "Last Night Of The Proms" the other day (still have to watch the second half) and to mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11, they played an arrangement of Samuel Barber's "Adagio For Strings". And when it was being introduced, we were told that there was a string version and a choral version, and that this would be a mixture of the two.

Well, sorry, but it didn't work for me. It wasn't anywhere near as emotive as the original string version.

The string arrangement that was played at the 2001 Last Night, held just a few days after 9/11, was one of the most moving performances of a piece of music I have ever heard.

Really enjoying the event so far. My cat woke me up so early that I am pretty much watching live. Not sure why he was so anxious, because he is not even watching But I see Murav’yeva on ice, and I am about as keyed up as my emotional support animal was at 4 am! Petrokina’s program was my fav so far

Truly Kate's jumps look effortless... but it is strange that she didn't go for a 3Lz+3T. Also, her posture needs a bit of work. She is cute!

Sofia had to save that combo - but well done. I love her maturity and attention to detail. I think I love her skating, now I just want to love her programs.
