Not that they are going to listen to me, especially now but I would do something less matronly with Piper’s hair. It just adds to the this-is-the-last-step-before-retirement vibe.

The costumes, though, are MUCH better than those hideous things they wear for the RD.

I agree, but they're not really in medal contention and this might be their last Olympics so I'm cool with them having a sentimental program instead of a strategic one

I want to love this program from Piper and Paul. The issues with the twizzles and slight awkwardness on the combo lift will hold it back, unfortunately.

NGL I'm worried he'll be in the middle of a lift and it'll go and he and Vika will end up on the ice and he won't be able to get up!

GILLES Piper / POIRIER Paul (CAN)

Love how they are always able to capture the tone of the music throughout the dance! Beautiful starry-night blue costumes too! Plenty of glide and flow, almost so effortless that it disguises how difficult some of the holds and transitions are.

This song was always going to be difficult to interpret since it's not the most well-known song and it doesn't scream "winning music", but I think they're able to get the freedom from it throughout the piece. I think they could have some sharp movement to match the drum solo section since it's just so intense. Really beautiful opening spin, though, with interesting shapes and centering. Love the throwback with the ending lift from their past programs!
